THE #NatureDon'tStopProject.

The project, developed by ASeS in collaboration with Cia-Agricoltori Italiani, was created in April 2020 because of the need to counter Coronavirus infection through protection, prevention and awareness actions. In the first phase, the beneficiaries were workers in the agricultural supply chain.

Beginning in June 2020, with a more timely identification of beneficiaries, the second phase begins; starting in August, small outdoor awareness and information events will be organized in Tuscany, applying all measures of containment and management of the epidemiological emergency from COVID-19, to respond to the new needs of rural areas by targeting (micro) agricultural enterprises whose owners, often no longer young and in conditions of economic, social and geographic marginality, are trying to overcome the crisis.

Beneficiaries will also be Social Farms that include and involve social categories in objectively disadvantaged conditions in agricultural activities.

The project, at a later stage, intends to develop throughout Italy in the most remote and crisis-affected rural areas of central and southern Italy.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

The project involves the distribution of protective materials and information on health protection, education and strengthening the agricultural system, including energy efficiency.

Agriculture is not only an important economic sector for Italy, but also one to which we tie our very survival. We often forget that from agriculture comes the push toward healthy and natural lifestyles.

DISADVANTAGED WORKERS

Immigrants, unemployed laborers, young and old, jobless today

SMALL ENTREPRENEURS IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN

Those with limited funds, if informed about available incentives, can lead the restart

SOCIAL FARMS

Hit hard by the crisis, but firmly convinced to recover, always in keeping with their “ethical” approach

The initiative is organized by ASeS in collaboration with CIA – Italian Farmers, with contributions from ENEL and ENEA.
