The action, funded by UNICEF, involved raising awareness among the people of Rutongo about the problems of water and its management.
In addition to awareness raising, the construction of latrines by the beneficiaries with materials provided by UNICEF was also planned; the organization and direction was delegated to ASeS. The project ended in February 1998.
