ASeS’ presence in Rwanda facilitated the European Union’s approval of an intervention named in full: “Integrated Support Project for Widows and the Homeless in Mbasa Sector, Runyinya Municipality in Rwanda.”
The project aims to build 210 houses for widows who escaped the 1994 massacre in Mbasa sector, a school, rehabilitation of water sources and construction of ventilated latrines.
It is also intended to develop small production activities in agriculture, low-country animal husbandry, as well as to start some commercial and craft activities.
