COUNTY: Parish of Nuestra Señora de la Victoria – Villa Hayes

Since this was a continuation of an earlier project, the goal of the action coincided: to provide a second group of homeless families already surveyed who were living in makeshift huts with a worthy dwelling by the method of self-construction. The aforementioned method contributes to the not entirely secondary goal of providing beneficiaries with skills useful for an entry into the world of work as bricklayers, plumbers, electricians, etc.

Added to this training at the end of the project was training in managing small family gardens for self-consumption. A team of social workers, under the supervision of the parish social ministry, surveyed the 50 beneficiary families among the weaker social groups, with a special focus on single mothers with dependent children, who live in precarious huts in areas prone to the flooding of the Paraguay River.
