Cia participates in the FAO legume market with “La Spesa in Campagna”

The initiative in Rome until June 3 to raise awareness about the use of beans, chickpeas and lentils in the International Year of Pulses.

Cia is participating with “La Spesa in Campagna” in the legume market organized by the FAO in Rome to promote consumption and benefits of lentils, beans, broad beans, chickpeas and peas.

A “five-day” event, from May 30 to June 3, in which participating companies can display and sell their products in the garden of the organization’s headquarters on Terme di Caracalla Avenue.

The market is part of initiatives put in place to celebrate the 2016 International Year of Pulses, as launched by the UN. A choice to raise consumer awareness of the increased use of these foods, which are critical for their protein value and the health benefits of eating them. That is why FAO Director-General Jose Graziano da Silva also felt he should visit producers engaged in the legume market.

Cia, in particular, is present with six companies from Abruzzo, Campania and Umbria.
